Whimsical Whittler : "ROCKET MAN " 2002

Another RARE find. Found tucked away in a box. Never seen sunlight and from a smoke free home. This Rare piece of Americana  was hand carved by Vaughn Rawson and painted by his wife Stephanie. Sadly they are no longer being made and are highly sought after. I am downsizing and may have more when I continue to clean out my house. He is called: "ROCKET MAN". A very special whimsical carving of a snowman flying over a moon with a  red rocket with USA on it  in one hand and in the other, a wand with four stars . Check out his whimsical striped UPS socks he is wearing. The detail down to the carrot for his nose, the red scarf and of course his top hat. Who wouldn't love to add this piece of AMERICANA to their collections. The moon alone with the smiling face will warm your heart. A wonderful piece for that special Christmas Collector or perhaps for your VALENTINE! He stand about 10" in height and his width is about 6 1/2". His base about 2 7/8 " X 2 7/8".
