RARE LEFT FACING ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CAMEO, FLORA

Rare left facing antique Victorian cameo of Flora, goddess of spring. She
represented renewal and rebirth and was a popular gift for brides and new
mothers. Extremely classical rendering, inspired by Renaissance art, with
the strong facial features, and deeply defined chin and neck, complemented
by complex hair and draped gown. Cabbage rose symbols are dimensional.
Bezel set in unique frame with angled and etched rim. Here’s to spring!
