This is a very unique stone door surround. It is a Historical Reproduction that was hand carved from Travertine stone door surround that was on the famous Dutch painter
‘Rembrandt’
actual childhood home (1606
– 1669), which has now been made into a museum.  I have included pictures of the original Rembrandt Home Entry (Door Surround).
This door surround was meticulously scaled and carved in great detail.
The measurements are 117-1/2” tall x 67”wide. It protrudes off the wall 8-1/2”.
IMPORTANT: Some of the pictures show a white marble door surround. The door surround that is available is travertine (darker stone). I have provided the white marble pictures to give you a better idea of the design. Also, you will see a picture of the actual Rembrandt home/museum as a comparison.
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn
was a Dutch painter and etcher. He is generally considered one of the greatest painters in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
His contributions to art came in a period of great wealth and cultural achievement that historians call the Dutch Golden Age when Dutch Golden Age painting , although in many ways antithetical to the Baroque style that dominated Europe, was extremely prolific and innovative.
