Old Stained Glass Farmhouse Style Door 79x35-3/4”
This is a classic farmhouse style door with the classic X on the bottom panel. This door has a little more charm than most. The top half of the door contains a beautiful stained glass feather that the traditional divided six pane glass design. .
The stained glass features beautiful clusters of of grapes with vines hanging from a branch. The surrounding clear glass has almost a frosted affect from using a textured glass almost like the sea glass type. When the light shines through beautiful shades of purple shine though. The stained glass was well made and you can tell that great detail went into making it especially with the variation in colors .
One side of the door looks as though to be stained with the original wood grain . The opposite side has been painted white .the door is in overall good condition and solid . I did notice some slight separation in the bottom panels with what looks like a possible wood glue or putty for repairs throughout the years . It looks as though it could be sanded down hammered tighter and then sealed and repainted other than that I didn’t notice anything major and the bottom still seems to be very solid .
We did notice a few small fractures in the glass part but nothing to major and tried to include all detail in photos. This door is very charming and would be worth redoing . Great for any farmhouse or caving style or even a back house with garden setting
