Circa 1865 Antique Civil War CDV (carte-de-visite) Photograph. Depiction of officer GENERAL WINFIELD SCOTT in uniform with sword. Published by E. & H. T. Anthony of New York from a Mathew Brady negative in BRADY'S National Portrait Gallery (see backmark). Period pencil written identification on mount and/or reverse. Two cent Civil War era duty stamp on the reverse. Research indicates that Winfield Scott served in the US Army during the War of 1812, Mexican American War, Indian Wars, and American Civil War. Condition: light surface soiling, occasional dings, scuffs, edge wear and foxing spots. occasional trimmed edges and/or corners. Please see photos for additional condition review. Questions welcome!
